Claude Tandem juggles several Claude accounts
A new tool called Claude Tandem promises to handle more than one Claude account across Mac and iPhone. Small idea, real headache it might solve.
What it is
A story on emergent.sh caught my eye this week: Claude Tandem, described as a multi-account manager for Mac and iPhone. That's honestly about all I know. I couldn't open the full article, so the features, the price, who made it and whether it's open source are still question marks.
But the headline alone is worth a coffee.
Why it's interesting
Plenty of people end up with more than one Claude account without ever planning it. One for the business, one personal, maybe one for a big client. Switching usually means logging out, logging back in, and losing your train of thought somewhere in between.
A tool built just for that is a quiet sign of something bigger. AI assistants are becoming everyday work tools, and everyday tools grow little helpers around them. Like the key ring that appears once you own enough keys.
What it means for you
If you run a restaurant with a catering side business, or an agency juggling clients, keeping those conversations apart matters. Mixing them up is messy at best and a privacy problem at worst. Something that keeps each account in its own lane, on laptop and phone, could save real friction.
Words worth knowing
- Claude account: your login for Claude, the AI assistant. Your chats and settings live inside it.
- Multi-account manager: an app that keeps several logins side by side so you can switch without signing out.
- Open source: software whose inner workings anyone can read and check.
Before you try it
Anything that holds your logins deserves a careful look. Read the story at https://emergent.sh/news/claude-tandem-multi-account-manager-mac, then find out who built it and how it treats your accounts before you hand over the keys.
