Your AI Agent, Your Browser, No Conflicts
ego-lite lets your AI agent use your real browser — logged-in accounts and all — without ever touching your open tabs.
The problem nobody talks about
If you've ever watched an AI assistant try to do something on the web for you, you've probably noticed an awkward truth: it either works in a completely separate, blank browser — so it can't access any of your accounts — or it takes over the browser you're using and starts clicking around your tabs.
Neither feels right. And it isn't.
What ego-lite does
It's a free Mac browser that lets you and your AI agent share the same browser at the same time, without getting in each other's way. You keep your tabs. The agent works in its own quiet corner — a separate area called a Space — and it can still access your real logged-in accounts, because it inherits your existing sessions when you first set it up.
So if you ask your agent to pull some data from a platform where you're already logged in, it just... does it. No extra passwords, no blank slate, no drama.
It works out of the box with the most popular AI coding tools — Claude Code, Cursor, Codex — and it's completely free.
Why it matters for your business
Think of it like hiring a capable assistant who can use your computer without sitting in your chair. They work in the background, you work in the foreground, and nothing gets in the way.
Words worth knowing
AI agent — an AI that doesn't just answer questions, but takes actions: filling forms, browsing sites, gathering information on your behalf.
Session / cookies — the invisible tokens that keep you logged into websites. When an agent inherits your session, it's like handing it your keycard — temporary access, no password needed.
Space — ego-lite's name for an isolated area inside the browser where an agent works, separate from your own tabs.
MIT license — a type of free software license. It basically means: use it, modify it, no strings attached.
