A whiteboard that draws itself

Every business has a picture living in someone's head: how an order travels from the website to the kitchen, who approves what, which tool talks to which. Getting it onto paper usually takes a long meeting and a messy whiteboard.

Archify is a small, free add-on for AI assistants like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode. You describe something in plain words, or point it at an existing software project, and it hands back a diagram you can open in any browser and click around in. One file, nothing extra needed to view it.

What caught our eye

It checks the diagram before giving it to you. Sounds minor, but anyone who has asked an AI for a chart and got arrows pointing nowhere will smile at that.

It also knows ten kinds of diagrams: workflows, timelines, trees, how data moves, step-by-step sequences and more. So "draw how a customer complaint gets handled" and "show our project timeline" both land somewhere sensible.

It's open source under the MIT license, and the author notes that paid services offering it don't represent the project. Good to know if someone tries to sell it to you.

Words worth knowing

• Agent skill: a set of instructions you add to an AI assistant so it gets good at one specific job. Like a recipe card for a new cook.
• Open source (MIT license): the code is public and free to use, even for business.
• Interactive HTML file: a web page saved as a single file. Double-click it and it opens in your browser.
