A little friend in the notch

If you've watched someone work with an AI agent like Claude Code, you've seen the awkward part. The agent works happily for a while, then stops and asks: "Can I change this file?" Nothing moves until a human says yes. So someone ends up hovering over the computer, waiting.

Coucou is a charming fix for that. It's a small app by Louis Raillé that lives at the very top of your screen, in the MacBook notch, with a mascot called Mochi. Mochi keeps an eye on your agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI and several others) and shows you what they're doing. When one asks for permission, you can approve it right there, without digging through windows.

It follows you around

What started as a Mac app now runs on Windows, Linux, iPhone and Android. On an iPhone it shows up on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island and in widgets, and it works with Siri. There's even an "OK Coucou" voice feature in English and French. So the agent can keep working while you're making coffee, and you tap yes from your pocket.

It's free, and the code is open for anyone to read and reuse. The name, Mochi and the sounds still belong to the creator.
